Lucy's in Akumal

Lucy's restaurant is a small, colorful building right on the concha, across the street from Super Chomak. It is the place to go for empanadas, fish and shrimp tacos and the best home-made ice cream. You step up to the door and place your order. You can take it with you to the beach or home or enjoy it right there. They have a few tables and chairs set up off to the side of the restaurant. I suggest washing down your meal with a fresh lemonade.

You can't beat the prices and the food is always great. You can get your ice cream in a cup or in a waffle cone, which are made by hand, one-by-one . The flavors vary but all are incredible and made fresh with the best ingredients. All are made with 100% natural ingredients – so you know they are the real ice creams. I was partial to my French Vanilla and Cappuccino, but that may have been because she was out of the coconut milk, ginger and lime. Go often and try all the flavors.

Lucy's is also an environmentally friendly business, and the owner, Lucy, does a lot locally to help the animals.
