 | La Nave is a personal favourite in Tulum. Some say that it serves the
best wood fired pizzas outside of Italy and with Tulum`s large Italian
population, this restaurant certainly is up to par with the people who
know! La Nave is located right on the main street in Tulum. AV. Tulum
570 (teléfono 984 87 12592). It is a small intimate restaurant which
opens right out to the sidewalk where there are additional seats. The
atmosphere is warm and friendly and it`s a wonderful place to spend an
evening eating their delicious concoctions. |
The menu offers
something for absolutely everyone from wood-oven pizzas to seafood to great
homemade pastas. There is also a wonderful variety for the vegetarian. Their
pastas are all made fresh. We sat and enjoyed a cocktail with some homemade
bread and excellent olive oil to dip it in. Next we enjoyed a glass of wine with
a wonderful fresh salad of mozzarella, tomatoes and avocado drizzled with olive
oil. While we were enjoying our meal we were entertained with some wonderful
music which enhanced the whole experience. For our main course we shared each
other's meals. The eggplant Parmesan was one of the finest I have ever tasted.
The eggplant was thinly sliced and layered with the best sauce and cheeses. We
also enjoyed a magnificent 4 cheese tortellini that was in the most incredible
sauce. All of this and it was amazingly inexpensive. I would highly recommend
this place for anyone looking for great Italian food in the heart of Tulum. |
